Avoiding Gender Biased Language

Have you ever said something jokingly and accidentally offended someone? It happens a lot! Sometimes people make comments and offend others unintentionally. There are ways to avoid gender biased language. You can educate yourself in how not to use gendered pronouns and suffix when writing for both male and female audiences. When using words such as: man or woman, he or she in professional documents, you have to be sensitive to the audience that will be reading it. The best way to remain neutral and not be gender biased is to use gender-free words.
